Información sobre pastos
Frilly, our Scottish Highlander Cow (or “Coo” as the Scots would say). With their long shaggy coat, sweeping horns, and calm demeanor, the Highland cow has become one of the most recognizable and beloved cows in the world.
While she is a friendly girl, her horns can definitely hurt! She likes to swing her head when she gets excited or is scratching herself and her horns can reach well over the fence so please be extremely cautious when interacting with Frilly.
Meet the Animals

Frilly
As affable as she is beautiful, our beloved Frilly has been with us since she was 10 days old. At the farm where she was born, she was unable to milk from her mother so we took her in and she has been the highlight of many visitors’ trips.
Even more than treats, Frilly loves to have her back scratched. There are scratchers with long handles hanging next to her gate so even kids can have a chance to give her a little scritch. Stay back toward her hind end to avoid being near the horns. If you scratch just right, you will find a friend for life.
Around the Pasture
The sanctuary would not be possible without the generous people and businesses who support our animals and their care.
