Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of the Ask Ivy website at askivysas.org.

 

Website Purpose

Ask Ivy provides educational information about Sammamish Animal Sanctuary, its animals, pasture guidelines, visitor safety, sponsors, and programs.

Website information supplements posted signs and instructions from sanctuary staff and volunteers. Always follow current onsite instructions if they differ from information shown on the website.

 

Visitor Safety

A working animal sanctuary includes inherent risks. Animals can behave unpredictably, and the grounds may include gravel, mud, uneven surfaces, gates, fences, equipment, and animal waste.

 

Visitors are expected to:

  • Supervise children in their care

  • Remain in designated visitor areas

  • Follow all posted and verbal instructions

  • Enter pastures only where permitted

  • Close and secure gates

  • Treat animals calmly and respectfully

  • Feed only approved sanctuary treats

  • Keep treats and buckets outside entry pastures

  • Avoid restricted, equipment, and compost areas

 

The sanctuary may restrict access when necessary to protect visitors, animals, volunteers, staff, or property.

 

These Terms provide general information and do not replace any separate acknowledgment or waiver required for a visit, event, camp, pony ride, or other sanctuary activity.

 

Accuracy and Availability

We work to keep the website accurate, but animals, pasture assignments, rules, programs, and availability may change. We do not guarantee that the website, QR codes, audio, translations, or other features will always be complete, current, or available.

 

External Services

The website may link to outside services for reservations, donations, programs, events, or other activities. Those services may be governed by separate terms and policies.

 

Website Content

Unless otherwise stated, website text, branding, graphics, photographs, audio, and other original materials belong to Sammamish Animal Sanctuary or are used with permission. They may not be reproduced or used commercially without authorization.

 

Acceptable Use

You may not attempt to damage the website, access restricted information, introduce malicious code, misrepresent your relationship with the sanctuary, or use its content for unlawful or deceptive purposes.

 

Disclaimer

The website is provided for general informational and educational purposes. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Sammamish Animal Sanctuary is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the website.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be limited.

 

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington.

 

Updates

We may update these Terms as the website, sanctuary programs, or visitor procedures change.
